Susan, our dedicated Village Manager, brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our community. With a remarkable career spanning sixteen and a half years in marina management, she now embraces an exciting new role.
Susan is captivated by the exceptional quality of our villas and considers herself privileged to be a part of their development. Her background includes years of farming in the South Waikato region and abroad, giving her a profound understanding of the rewards that come with living in close-knit rural communities.
Her primary focus is to ensure that our residents find contentment in their new homes, while fully enjoying the facilities, social connections, and active lifestyle our village offers. Susan is not only committed to our community but also deeply passionate about preserving the environment for future generations, making our energy-efficient villas an integral part of her vision.

Tim Bartells

Born and bred in Putāruru, owner of the Bartells Group, Tim Bartells brings over 30 years of property development experience to Springwater Country Estate.
An experienced Retirement Village developer and operator, building a Village in his home town has special significance for Tim. He went to primary and secondary school in Putāruru and has family and many old friends and acquaintances still living in Putāruru.
Tim's “big picture” thinking has been the driving force behind the concept, planning and design stages of his developments and he is heavily involved in the architectural, engineering and project management elements.
As the guy who often looks at something that already works well, then asks: “how can we make it better?”, Tim’s vision is to propel retirement village living into the future, using design and technology to support the three pillars of Comfort, Community and Care, and he is committed to ensuring that the highest standards are achieved and maintained.
For Tim, building a Village in Putāruru is a special homecoming and he is committed to ensuring Springwater Country Estate will be a very special place.
Becs Bartells

Meet Becs Bartells, our Marketing Manager. As the daughter of Tim Bartells, the visionary developer behind our upcoming village, Becs brings a unique perspective to our team.
Becs holds an Honours degree in Industrial Design from Massey University, and her design skills have led to the creation of real-world products and experiences. She's not only garnered multiple awards for her design work but has also run several businesses.
Becs's passion for designing and bringing concepts to life is a driving force behind her work. Born right here in Putāruru, she's poised to play a pivotal role in the success of our upcoming village.
In her role as Marketing Manager, Becs combines her design skills with her dedication to our village development. We're proud to have her on board, steering our marketing efforts.

Being born and bred in Putāruru, this Village is very close to Tim's heart.
